Welcome to our lounge room! What I love about this room is how light and fun it feels. The look here is mid century with pops of blues and greens in ikats and florals. Our furniture is a collection of good finds from Freedom (their design has really gone up in the last year) or vintage (We've had our teak credenza for 5 years and I know we'll have it for a lifetime) Art is an important element of this room and a focal point is this black and white piece from talented portrait photographer (and one of our best mates) Tobias Rowles.
We didn't want the focus of our lounge room to be the TV so we installed a rental friendly art montage wall around our TV. Art with meaning is really important to the Big A and I so love how every piece has a story to tell - from the line drawing the Big A did out of our window when we lived in london through to the guy in glasses portrait we bought so many years ago.
Our curtains are a recent purchase from West Elm and I love the pop of green they bring into the room. Their ikat design means they compliment our reading chair and floor lamp quite nicely to create a bit of considered cohesion.
